If you own a horse, you know about thrush. The annoying invasive bacterial infection that takes over the ENTIRE hoof! Once you got it, you got to treat it fast! I'm sure I'm not the only one who struggles to afford the high cost of thrush buster! One of the best solutions for thrush treatment, is apple cider vinegar mixed with the original mouth wash in a spray bottle. Another wonderful solution is clove essential oil diluted with water, or pine tar to dry the hooves. I have used all of these except pine tar, but what I find is cheapest and works best for the price, is hooflex. Absorbine® Hooflex® Thrush Remedy works fast and comes in a 12fl oz bottle that lasts forever! I would recommend transporting it to a spray bottle, as the cap does not stay on well. If your horse struggles with thrush, I cannot recommend more.

If your someone wanting a very fast, extremely cheap thrush heal, I reccomend following my recipe for a relieving epsem salt foot soak. This helps pull out the infection, relieve hoof pain, and promotes healthy tissue growth!

Add 10 drops of Oregano oil,

5 drops of clove oil,

1/2 Tbsp Olive oil,

& 1 Tbsp of White or Apple Cider Vinegar to 1 cup Epsom salt. Mix until well combined. Slowly add warm/hot water to salt until water begins to get clearer and salt begins to dissolve. Then transfer salted water to a gallon sized jug and fill the rest of the gallon with water until full. To soak: Pour gallon jug into a large bucket, preferably rubber, (Plastic may break, metal may spook horse) Then clean dirt from hoof and soak in bucket for 10 minutes per foot.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!
