shedding season!-my favorite shedding tools for horses

Hello friends! I'm back! I apologize for my long absence but i'm back now so lets get into it!

If you own a horse, you know May-June are the hairiest months for your horse! Having to give up pony kisses because your lips will be covered in hair, and you cant even ride bareback because....well....you get it. My point is, shedding sucks! And by the time its over, you've just figured out the best tools. So i'm here to share my top 5 favorite AFFORDABLE tools that let me and my mare enjoy the warm weather, without being covered in hair. (I'm not being paid to say this!)

starting with number five: the TuffRider Horse Grooming Brush with Big Handle at Tractor Supply Co. not only does this thing flawlessly remove all the loose hair from your horse, but your horse will LOVE it! the thick rubber bristles painlessly remove dirt, mud and hair from your horse and the wide handle allows for comfort and easy to hold. My fourth favorite grooming tool would have to be the classic Tough-1 Double Edge Equine Shedding Blade at Tractor Supply Co. The shedding blade effortlessly removes hair from thick parts of your horse in just a few minutes! Its cheap, it lasts, though some horses will not be a huge fan of the scratchy-ness of this tool. Give it a try for $8.99!

Number 3, the great Farnam Slick 'N Easy Horse Grooming Block at Tractor Supply Co. This tool removes not only bot fly eggs, but removes excess hair from small crevices of your horse, such as the legs, chest, face, and belly. You really can't go wrong for $8.99

Though you will find the price not as affordable on these, I would consider it worth it for the amazing job these HandsOn Equine Grooming Gloves, Medium at Tractor Supply Co. will do for your horse! They quickly remove layers of thick hair and your horse will most definitely enjoy the rubber bristles messaging their back! Though there are other cheaper options, the $28.99 gloves do the job best.

Lasty, number one, my absolute favorite grooming tool not only for shedding, but for easy removal of dirt from small areas on your horse! The Tough-1 Genie Groom Brush at Tractor Supply Co. is easy to use and 100% affordable. This is my horses FAVORITE brush as she loves the small plastic bristles on her withers and forehead! This brush is also great for bathing as it helps lather the soap into your horses fur for deep cleaning. Great tool to brush over your your horse after a sweaty ride and it will help the fur air out quicker preventing sweat marks. Be sure to give this tool a try for only $4.49 at your local Tractor Supply!
